About

"Velva Room is deep psychedelic journey filled with soft textures. They tell stories, ask questions, raise doubts, dilate pupils, soften your hearing until, finally, you release your inner savage."
Pamela Ascencio.

Is the journey of a group of people who travel from the city to the wilderness, in which they encounter a profound psychedelic experience.

Who are they? Velva Room is a psychedelic rock project that began in 2009 in Guadalajara. Their concept is to provide a surreal sound experience that is original and stimulating. Anton Cerda (guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals), Nathalia Romo (drums, percussion and), Vicco Gonzalez (lead guitar, bass and keyboard) and invited musicians make up the band today.

What do they play? “ A band with a psychedelic sound that subtly captures the acoustic and electric. The band takes its principal influences from pop culture in the seventies and sixties. Their performances are contemplative shows, filled with contrasting sounds made from the interception of different instrumental ensembles that create a dynamic atmosphere with the purpose of, in each concert, creating an authentic experience outside of the norm.”

This material, that was not completely published, was the beginning of what today is Velva Room, that enriches us with colour, rhythms and intense feelings that force you to look inside.
